Patrick Kodjoe
Patrick is a German born former collegiate and professional basketball player who, upon retiring, launched Alfa, an international clothing company, in 2010 with his brother Boris. While still serving on Alfa’s Board of Directors, Patrick more recently turned his attention toward the health and fitness industry, thanks to his passion for athletics. He currently trains performance athletes and also serves his client base as a nutritionist and life coach. Patrick and Boris, along with their wives recently launched a family health and fitness app.
In December 2018, Patrick, along with Boris, his wife Nicole Ari Parker and their friend Bozoma Saint John produced the inaugural Full Circle Festival. They invited a large group of high profile friends to Accra, Ghana, to bring in the Year of Return 2019, at the request of Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo. The secondary mission was to start changing the narrative about Africa in the West, and to show its many facets of beauty and excellence, primarily via social media. The impact was immediate and profound due to the guests’ combined social media following of roughly 50 million fans. According to the World Travel and Tourism Council, the event grew Ghanaian tourism 3% in 2019. Based on the FCFs success, the group formed a joint venture and is in the process of planning additional events throughout the African continent, endorsed by the African Union.
