Nomsa Dlamini

Born in Soweto towards the end of the Apartheid Era, Nomsa caught the travel bug at the tender age of 14, when she traveled to Senegal to visit her mother’s best friend as an unaccompanied minor and she has never looked back. Her goal is to bridge the gap between the rich and poor, by creating opportunities for people to reach their full potential, through education, networking and travelling the world.
She is passionate about different cultures, people, language and the advancement of men and women working together as equals. Nomsa is the Founder of Merchantry Worldwide, an international travel and destination Management Company that is located in both the United States and South Africa. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Johannesburg, and furthered her studies at the prestigious Howard University in Washington D.C. Nomsa has been nominated as one of the Most Influential people of African Descent for 2019, in the category for travel and tourism and will receive an award during the week of recognition at the UN in September during UNGA. She will facilitate the Grand Africa tour in partnership with the African Union, and Full circle festival as part of the commemoration of the Trans Atlantic Slave trade, which will mark 400 years in the year 2019. The aim is to mobilize the Diaspora, and educate the world about the African continent and her many cultures.
